Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Design - Lead to drive the design and development of mechanical systems, from concept to detailed execution. This leadership role involves overseeing a design team, ensuring design quality, managing project budgets, and collaborating across functions to deliver innovative and robust solutions.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Creation of process layout/design.
  • Part and process data preparation and review.
  • Detail concept level design preparation.
  • Concept layout preparation and review.
  • Creation of tasks, delegation to team, monitoring, and maintaining the same.
  • Supervising the team as per function system requirements.
  • Complete responsibility for design quality, output, timeliness, budget, and customer requirements.
  • Take care of standard design program and usage.
  • Budget and design cost planning and monitoring.
  • Cross-functional leadership for meeting, solving issues, clarity, and handover.
  • Handling of big-size projects and a yearly target of 30 to 35 Cr.
  • Adherence to QMS system.
  • Analytical calculation and verification.
  • Risk identification and planning.
  • Review of detailed design for correctness and completeness.
  • Leadership with respect to deliverables which includes planning, effort, time, and costs estimation (budget), risk anticipation, full kits review, issue anticipation & prevention, Analytical Skill.
  • Functional / Technical Reviews & Risk mitigation plans.

Skills Required

  • Expertise in process layout and design.
  • Strong background in concept and detailed design preparation.
  • Proven ability in team leadership, delegation, and supervision.
  • Experience in managing design quality, timelines, and budgets.
  • Knowledge of standard design programs and QMS systems.
  • Proficiency in analytical calculations, risk identification, and mitigation.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle large-scale projects.
