As Mechanical Design Engineer specializing in Traction Transformer design at the Global Engineering Center/India Factory in Vadodara, India, you'll be part of a dynamic team that values innovation, diversity, and collaboration. How you'll make an impact

  • The success candidate will be the part of an International Design and Engineering Team specialized in Traction Transformer design.
  • Responsible for mechanical development of Traction Transformer's order and tender designs in compliance with the Market and Sales Strategy to meet the market needs.
  • Responsible for Preparation of Customer documents, Manufacturing drawings, Bill of materials etc & submission to customer as per project schedule.
  • Understanding of Transformer mechanical design, Thermal, Dielectrics, Short circuit and sound performance and transformer mechanics
  • Coordinating design activities within a worldwide factories network.
  • Participation in internal design concept reviews.
  • Demonstrated team building skills and networking skills, would be a preference.
  • Ability to speak with and work together with the technical teams in different parts of the world.

  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

  • Candidate should hold a degree in B.E / B. Tech Mechanical Engineering with 2-8 Years Experience working in Mechanical design for Transformers/ Heavy Engineering industry/ pump/ Bearing/ Gear/ Automobiles manufacturing Industry.
  • Knowledge on CAD software, any 3D Modelling software is a must. Creo is considered as an advantage.
  • Experience in Windchill PLM is desirable.
  • Should understand Mechanical Design concepts & calculations, Dielectrics, clearance/creepage, basic layout and electromechanical.
  • Should have good understanding of IEEE Standards & Global Standards.
  • Experience in Simulation or software development would be advantageous.
  • Ability to speak with and work together with the technical teams in different parts of the world.
  • Demonstrated team building skills, would be a preference.
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
