About the Role
We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with strong experience in Creo, Tool Design, Weld Modelling, and Tooling & Fixture Design. This role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about mechanical engineering, design engineering, fabrication, and product lifecycle support.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 1 to 3 years of mechanical design experience to work in a fastpaced engineering environment with exposure to machine rebuild operations, heavy machinery components, and manufacturing engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Mechanical design using Creo for tool design, weld modelling, tooling design, and fixture design.
- Analyze machine configurations and identify required parts based on rebuild types.
- Maintain and update service option catalogs, parts lists, and rebuild templates.
- Prepare accurate parts lists, ensuring alignment with rebuild types and engineering standards.
- Crossreference mechanical parts with machine models and historical service data.
- Coordinate with dealers and internal teams to verify part availability, procurement schedules, and timelines.
- Ensure all mechanical designs meet engineering standards, manufacturing guidelines, and service requirements.
- Work on multiple mechanical rebuild projects simultaneously.
- Present design reports using PowerPoint or Keynote.
- Quickly ramp up on existing mechanical projects and collaborate with crossfunctional engineering teams.
Mandatory Skills
- Handson engineering experience in Mechanical Design, Design Engineering, Tool Design, Fabrication, and Weld Modelling.
- Strong working experience with Creo (CREO modeling, Creo assemblies, Creo detailing).
- Ability to interpret design intent and convert concepts into manufacturable mechanical components.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience working with heavy machinery, construction equipment, mining equipment, or similar mechanical systems.
- Exposure to rebuild operations, machine lifecycle management, and aftermarket engineering.
Required Education
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
