Within the first three months, we successfully developed our first SCARA Robot, followed by AGVs/AMRs, Delta Robots, Gantry Systems, Palletizers, Case Packers (Racer Track), Case Erectors, Case Makers, Box Lifters, Pallet Lifters, Turntables, ASRS, and complete conveying solutions.

With a team of 100+ professionals across manufacturing, projects, design, applications, software, controls, and sales, Anzo Controls is rapidly expanding its footprint. To strengthen our engineering team, we are looking for passionate and skilled Mechanical Design Engineer.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical systems and assemblies for automation and material handling solutions such as conveyors, robotics, ASRS, palletizers, gantry systems, AGVs/AMRs, etc.
  • Prepare 2D drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
  • Create detailed manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and assembly drawings.
  • Work closely with application, controls, electrical, manufacturing, and project teams.
  • Support new product development and customization based on customer requirements.
  • Perform design calculations, material selection, and tolerance analysis.
  • Ensure designs meet functional, safety, quality, and cost requirements.
  • Provide engineering support during manufacturing, assembly, testing, and installation.
  • Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement activities.
  • Maintain proper documentation and revision control as per company standards.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for technical clarifications when required.

Key Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1+ year of experience in mechanical design, preferably in automation, robotics, or material handling industry.
  • Strong hands-on experience in SolidWorks and AutoCAD (mandatory).
  • Good understanding of mechanical components, fabrication processes, and assembly methods.
  • Knowledge of conveyors, robotics systems, structures, sheet metal, machined parts is preferred.
  • Ability to interpret customer requirements and convert them into practical designs.
  • Basic knowledge of GD&T, welding standards, fasteners, and materials.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Good problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Self-driven, proactive, and eager to learn new technologies.
  • Willingness to visit shop floor and project sites when required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical qualification is preferred (experience is valued at Anzo Controls).
