Key Responsibilities
Mechanical Design & Development
- Lead mechanical design for printer products, translating requirements into physical architecture.
- Develop new product concepts and improve existing designs.
- Conduct design reviews to enhance hardware quality produced by internal and external engineers.
- Perform component sizing and detailed design using CAD tools.
Testing & Validation
- Direct lab and field tests to verify operation and reliability of designs, systems, and components.
- Lead root cause analysis for complex, random failures using simulations or on-site investigations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions.
Materials & Manufacturing Expertise
- Proficiency in plastic and metal machining: milling, turning, bar turning, fine stainless steel sheet metal work (bending, brushing, welding, riveting).
- Knowledge of plastic injection molding with technical materials (PPS, PEEK, etc.).
- Apply principles of materials, hydraulics, thermal management, and other mechanical domains.
4. Tools & Software
- Expertise in CAD and PLM software: Creo and Windchill (PTC Solution).
- Familiarity with ISO GPS dimensioning standards.
- Use simulation tools to optimize designs for performance and manufacturability.
