Essential Experience and Job Requirements:
- 15+ years of experience in data-related disciplines such as MDM, data governance, data quality, and data cleansing.
- Expert knowledge of data mastering concepts, process ownership, data policies, and controls.
- Proven experience implementing MDM processes, policies, and procedures in complex, multinational organizations.
- Deep knowledge of SAP MDG, ERP, and associated data structures.
- Experience driving large, multi-year transformational change across multiple geographies and data domains.
- Strong leadership qualities to steer the team and provide strategic direction.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and secure sponsorship for the data transformation agenda.
- Excellent soft skills: active listening, communication, collaboration, presentation, problem-solving, team management, and stakeholder management.
- Project management skills and domain knowledge in Procurement, Finance, Customer, business acumen, critical thinking, and storytelling.
- Up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data management and analytics.
Role Objectives:
- Document the data strategy for finance.
- Convert the existing strawman into a formal strategy document.
- Identify a highly experienced and capable resource to join the team.
- Define the future direction for finance data and its impact on the organization.
- Detail the organizational structure and its interaction with other units.
- Define data quality measures and data structures.
- Develop data models and explain their usage.
- Explain the role of AI/ML and analytics in data management.
- Create a detailed implementation roadmap.
- Participate in and drive conversations with VPs and AVPs to socialize the data strategy.
Additional Requirements:
- Ensure candidates have 12+ years of experience across data disciplines such as asset management, MDM, data quality, and analytics.
- Prefer candidates with experience in writing data strategies.
- Require excellent conversation and communication skills.
