Job Summary:

Milliman is undertaking a major business transformation program to replace and modernize our HRIS, Finance, Legal, and Professional Services Automation systems. As part of the Data Enablement Team, we are seeking a skilled MDM Engineer to play a critical role in ensuring the integrity, quality, and seamless migration of data throughout this transformation. This role will collaborate closely with business and technical teams, supporting data mapping, migration, validation, and integration activities to enable a smooth transition to new enterprise platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of comprehensive MDM solutions across the organization
  • Demonstrate extensive experience with multiple MDM implementations
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reference data sources and develop strategies for managing reference and master data effectively.
  • Implement data integration pipelines leveraging modern data engineering tools and practices.
  • Develop, automate, and maintain data workflows.
  • Build and optimize data processing solutions using Azure Data Factory (ADF), Boomi, Snaplogic, Workato and related technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, data privacy, and security standards.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and deployment of data solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in data engineering, with a proven track record of MDM implementations, preferably supporting large-scale system implementations or migrations.
  • Strong functional knowledge of reference data sources and domain-specific data standards.
  • Expertise in MDM tool like Profisee, Boomi, Reltio
  • Experience in data and app integration tools like Azure Data Factory, Boomi, Snaplogic, Workato etc application integration tools
  • Proficiency with SQL, Python and experience working with relational databases.
  • Strong experience with data analysis, data profiling, data mapping, and ETL processes.
  • Experience with Fabric Azure cloud platform
  • Familiarity with CI/CDCD practices, tools, and automation pipelines.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across business and technical teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced project environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with HRIS, Finance, Legal, or Professional Services Automation systems.
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Familiarity with data governance and data quality best practices.
  • Experience in the insurance, risk management, or financial services sectors.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to data privacy and security.
