Job Description

A clinical role in the tertiary care hospital and perioperative services sector, delivering comprehensive anaesthesia, critical care and perioperative pain management for surgical and obstetric patients across India. This on-site position supports high-volume operative services, emergency theatre coverage and intensive care unit (ICU) collaboration to ensure safe, evidence-based anaesthetic care.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, patient-centred anaesthesia for elective and emergency surgeries across specialtiespreoperative assessment, intraoperative management and postoperative handover.
  • Perform neuraxial and regional anaesthesia techniques, including ultrasound-guided blocks, and manage multimodal perioperative analgesia plans.
  • Lead airway management and hemodynamic stabilization during high-risk cases and acute deterioration, including difficult airway scenarios.
  • Manage ventilator settings and critical care support for postoperative and ICU patients in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Document anaesthesia records accurately in the AIMS/EHR, participate in morbidity & mortality reviews, and implement safety checklists.
  • Contribute to protocol development (ERAS, blood management), mentor junior clinicians and support continuous clinical governance and quality improvement.

  • Obstetric anesthesia
  • Perioperative transesophageal echocardiography(TEE)
  • Enhanced Recovery After Surgery(ERAS) protocols

Qualifications (role requirement): Medical qualification in Anaesthesiology (MD/DNB or equivalent) and active medical registration in India. Ability to work on-site with flexible shift and emergency roster coverage.
