Head Systems Engineering & Digital Thread will lead the design, implementation, and governance of model-based and data-driven engineering frameworks across the product lifecycle. This role is responsible for defining and executing the Digital Thread and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) strategy across industries as applicable with focus on aerospace programs, ensuring data continuity, traceability, and compliance with applicable standards. The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers to deliver digitally integrated engineering solutions leveraging
SysML, PLM, CAD, and simulation toolchains.
Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities
Define and execute the Digital Thread and MBSE roadmap aligned to customer and enterprise goals.
Architect end-to-end digital thread data models connecting requirements, design, analysis, verification, and manufacturing systems.
Lead implementation of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices using SysML and related tools (Cameo, Rhapsody, Enterprise Architect, etc.).
Develop system architecture frameworks and modeling standards aligned with ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288 and 42010.
Integrate MBSE with PLM, ALM, and simulation environments using OSLC and STEP standards.
Ensure lifecycle traceability in compliance with applicable standards ( for e.g for Aerospace ARP4754A, DO-178C, and DO-254 requirements).
Provide technical leadership to multi-disciplinary teams delivering aerospace system models and digital continuity solutions.
Engage with customer engineering teams to define and deliver digital transformation engagements in aerospace programs.
Establish governance frameworks, KPIs, and maturity models for digital engineering adoption.
Promote workforce development, MBSE upskilling, and organizational change management.
