Role Title: Resident Medical Officer (RMO)

Industry: Healthcare Primary, Emergency & Inpatient Clinical Services. Sector: Hospital / Clinical Care operating an on-site medical facility in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. This role delivers front-line clinical care, emergency stabilisation and inpatient management to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

About The Opportunity

We are seeking an on-site Resident Medical Officer to join a busy clinical team serving a diverse patient population in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. The ideal candidate will provide acute care, routine inpatient management and support hospital operations across emergency, OPD and ward settings.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide initial assessment, stabilisation and ongoing management of emergency and inpatient cases, following established clinical protocols.
  • Conduct regular ward rounds, evaluate patient progress, write prescriptions, prepare discharge summaries and document clinical notes accurately.
  • Lead emergency triage and acute resuscitation efforts; implement BLS/ACLS algorithms and escalate care to specialists as needed.
  • Perform common clinical procedures including IV cannulation, venepuncture and wound suturing; administer medications and IV fluids safely.
  • Coordinate investigations, referrals and interdepartmental handovers; liaise with nursing, diagnostics and consultant teams to expedite care.
  • Maintain infection-control practices, medico-legal documentation and participate in quality improvement and incident reporting.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

  • MBBS degree from a recognised medical college
  • Valid registration with the State Medical Council / National Medical Commission
  • Demonstrable experience in inpatient and emergency clinical care
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
  • Strong clinical documentation and basic procedural competence (IV cannulation, suturing)

Preferred

  • Previous RMO or hospitalist experience in a multi-specialty setting
  • Familiarity with emergency triage protocols and acute care workflows
  • Proficiency in local language(s) such as Hindi to enhance patient communication
