Primary title (standardized): Medical Officer (MBBS) - Clinic/OPD
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver focused 4-hour OPD consultations: take histories, perform examinations, diagnose common conditions, and create clear management plans.
- Manage acute ambulatory illnesses and perform minor procedures (wound cleaning, suturing, incision & drainage) with appropriate documentation and follow-up instructions.
- Stabilise and triage emergencies; provide initial resuscitation and arrange timely referrals to higher centres when required.
- Prescribe medications per clinical guidelines, counsel patients on therapy adherence, and ensure safe medication practices.
- Order and interpret basic point-of-care tests (glucometer, pregnancy test, rapid diagnostics) and coordinate investigations and referrals.
- Maintain accurate patient records in the clinic EMR, ensure confidentiality, assist with billing entries, and support clinic quality processes.
Skills & Qualifications
- Qualifications: MBBS degree
- Qualifications: Valid state medical council registration (must be eligible to practice in Karnataka)
- Must-Have: Outpatient consultation
- Must-Have: Prescription management
- Must-Have: Electronic Medical Records
- Preferred: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
