Primary Job Title (standardized): Medical Officer (Cardiac Centre) - MBBS/DMO
About The Opportunity
We are hiring an on-site MBBS Medical Officer (DMO) to join a specialist cardiac centre that provides critical cardiac services including CCU care, ECG/telemetry monitoring, pre/post-procedural management and emergency cardiac interventions. This role suits clinicians who thrive in fast-paced cardiac environments and want to deliver high-quality acute and inpatient cardiac care.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day clinical care for cardiac inpatients and emergency presentations in the CCU/wardconduct assessments, order and interpret investigations, and implement treatment plans.
- Perform and interpret ECGs and continuous telemetry; escalate abnormalities and coordinate urgent interventions with the cardiology team and cath lab.
- Lead resuscitation and acute cardiac emergency management (arrhythmias, ACS, heart failure exacerbations), following established protocols and escalation pathways.
- Manage peri-procedural patient carepre-procedure optimization, post-procedure monitoring, and early complication detection in collaboration with nursing and specialists.
- Document clinical encounters accurately in the hospital information system and communicate clear handovers to oncoming shifts and specialty teams.
- Participate in quality improvement, clinical audits, and multidisciplinary case reviews to improve cardiac patient outcomes.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- MBBS qualification with valid medical registration in India.
- Proven clinical experience in cardiac care, CCU, or emergency medicine settings.
- Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Strong competence in ECG interpretation, telemetry monitoring, and hemodynamic assessment.
- Demonstrated ability in acute resuscitation and airway management.
- Familiarity with hospital information systems and accurate clinical documentation.
Preferred
- Diploma/MD in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or prior focused exposure to cardiology/CCU.
- Experience supporting cath lab procedures and immediate post-procedural care.
- Prior experience working in high-volume tertiary cardiac centres or specialized cardiac units.
