About The Opportunity
A multi-speciality hospital operating in the healthcare & clinical services sector, providing round-the-clock inpatient and emergency care in an urban Pune location. We deliver comprehensive medical services across medicine, surgery and allied specialties, with emphasis on patient safety, timely clinical decision-making and seamless coordination across teams.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide on-site clinical coverage as the Resident Medical Officer (RMO): triage, assess, stabilise and initiate treatment for emergency and admitted patients.
- Manage admissions and inpatient caretake histories, perform examinations, order and interpret investigations, prescribe treatment and prepare discharge summaries.
- Act as first responder for medical emergencies and codes: perform initial resuscitation, escalate to specialists and coordinate transfer when required.
- Perform bedside procedures including IV cannulation, wound care and suturing, basic airway support and monitor patients on observation.
- Coordinate care with consultant physicians, surgeons, nursing staff and diagnostics teams to ensure timely investigations and referrals.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation, ensure medication safety, participate in on-call rota, handovers and clinical audits for continuous quality improvement.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- MBBS or BAMS or BUMS with valid registration from the relevant State Medical Council.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Demonstrated clinical experience in emergency medicine, inpatient wards or acute care settings.
- Competence in common bedside procedures: IV cannulation, wound suturing, basic airway management and ECG interpretation.
- Proficiency in clinical documentation and using hospital information systems / electronic medical records.
- Ability to communicate clearly with patients and families in English and local languages (Marathi/Hindi).
Preferred
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Prior experience in a multi-speciality or tertiary-care hospital.
- Familiarity with NABH standards, infection control and clinical audit processes.
