Mathematics Teacher

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly creative Senior Maths Content Developer with strong experience in designing fun, story-based, and activity-oriented maths sessions for Grades 26 and who also has hands-on teaching experience with children in this age group. Someone who has taught young learners will be better equipped to understand their learning patterns, attention span, misconceptions, and emotional needs. This role requires a deep understanding of the U.S. education system (Common Core), strong instructional design skills, and an ability to make maths enjoyable and relatable for kids.

Key Responsibilities

Curriculum & Content Development

Design and develop grade-wise maths curriculum for Grades 26 aligned with U.S. Common Core Standards.

Create story-driven, theme-based sessions to make learning engaging for young children.

Develop lesson plans, worksheets, activity sheets, quizzes, presentations, and teacher guides.

Integrate maths concepts into fun narratives, characters, real-world examples, puzzles, and games.

Design project-based and activity-based learning modules suitable for Grades 26.

Teaching-Centred Insight

Apply firsthand teaching experience to create content that matches kids attention spans and learning behaviour.

Predict student struggles and misconceptions and design interventions accordingly.

Ensure content supports diverse learning styles, visual, kinesthetic, and interactive.

U.S. Market Alignment

Ensure cultural relevance and age-appropriate language for U.S. students.

Incorporate familiar U.S.-based examples, references, and real-life scenarios.

Adapt content to meet U.S. grade-level expectations and academic rigor.

Innovation & Quality

Create content that fosters curiosity, problem-solving, and logical thinking.

Continuously refine content using feedback from instructors and students.

Benchmark global EdTech platforms and implement best practices.

Cross-functional Collaboration

Collaborate with designers, academic experts, product teams, and teaching instructors.

Support instructor training sessions to ensure effective delivery of new content.

Work with product/tech teams to align content with platform requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

712 years of experience in maths content development or elementary curriculum design.

Mandatory: At least 24 years of teaching experience, preferably with Grades 26.

Strong understanding of U.S. maths curriculum and Common Core Standards.

Proven experience in developing story-based, fun, interactive maths lessons.

Strong capability in activity-based and experiential learning design.

Excellent English communication and content-writing skills.

Ability to simplify math concepts for young children.

Creative storytelling abilitycharacters, themes, and engaging narratives.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience teaching U.S. students (online/offline).

Degree in Mathematics, Education, Elementary Teaching, Instructional Design, or related fields.

Experience in EdTech organizations or K8 online learning platforms.

Understanding of child psychology and learning behavior in early grades.
