Job Description

A role in the Education sector — International K–12 private schooling delivering IB PYP, IGCSE and IBDP programmes across Primary, Middle and Senior phases in India. We seek an experienced academic leader to take ownership of the Mathematics department, driving curriculum coherence, assessment quality and strong student outcomes. Primary title: Head of Mathematics Department (IB/IGCSE/IBDP). This is an on-site role based in India.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and align the Mathematics curriculum across IB PYP, IGCSE and IBDP to ensure clear progression, vertical articulation and compliance with programme standards.
  • Design and implement robust assessment strategies, coordinate internal assessments and external exam preparation, and lead moderation to guarantee reliable grading.
  • Provide instructional leadership through regular lesson observations, evidence-based feedback and targeted professional development for teachers across all phases.
  • Use student performance data to set academic targets, design intervention plans, monitor impact and communicate progress to leadership and parents.
  • Manage departmental operations including resource planning, timetabling coordination, exam entry logistics and budget oversight for Math resources and materials.
  • Champion pedagogical innovation and effective use of educational technology to enhance engagement, differentiation and outcomes in Mathematics.
