As a Material Master Data Administrator your will, be creating new material codes in S4-HANA /SAP with correct material type, industry sector, and numbering scheme. Maintain and update material descriptions, units of measure, and material groups.
How will you make an Impact!
- Create new material codes in S4-HANA /SAP with correct material type, industry sector, and numbering scheme.
- Maintain and update material descriptions, units of measure, and material groups.
- Enter purchasing data (e.g., order unit, purchasing group, source list). Define valuation class, price control, and procurement type.
- Ensure correct tax codes, vendor info records, and conditions are linked.
- Collaborate with engineering, finance, warehouse and other relevant functions teams to capture technical specs, storage requirements, and accounting data.
- Coordination with customs team to fetch details for import/export compliance.
- Ensure data integrity to avoid duplicate materials or incorrect entries. Maintain audit trails and documentation for approvals
- Accurate material masters reduce errors in purchase orders, invoice matching, and inventory management.
- Directly influence KPIs like PR-to-PO turnaround time and On-Time Delivery (OTD).
- Demonstrates the right attitude and discipline, ensuring consistency, attention to detail, andaccountability in all tasks.
- Builds trust across cross‑functional teams and strengthens procurement's reputation as a reliable and strategic function.
- Maintains a proactive and collaborative approach, fostering smooth coordination with Engineering, Logistics, Customs, and other stakeholders.
What you Bring!
- Bachelor's degree with relevant 5+ years of experience in data management, material management.
- Experience in creating new material codes in S4-HANA /SAP with correct material type, industry sector, and numbering scheme
- Maintain audit trails and documentation for approvals . Operational Impact o Accurate material masters reduce errors in purchase orders, invoice matching, and inventory management.
