Role Overview

This associate-level role involves supervising a team responsible for reference data requests, customer on-boarding, off-boarding, and in-life cycle management. The Markets Data Management Associate ensures regulatory compliance, drives process improvements, and supports management decisions through analysis of trends and operational metrics. The role also provides opportunities to build stakeholder networks, enhance team capabilities, and develop leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team facilitating reference data requests and managing customer on-boarding, off-boarding, and in-life cycle events
  • Perform MiFID, EMIR, Dodd-Frank, and Canadian regulatory due diligence checks, ensuring compliance with organisational policies and procedures
  • Authorise regulatory assessments and monitor trades for clients who are not compliant, overseeing remediation where necessary
  • Collaborate with front office teams and relationship managers to ensure smooth operational processes
  • Analyse and interpret volume trends and patterns to support management decision-making
  • Monitor and manage service standards using meetings and performance metrics with business partners
  • Engage with new and existing functions to upskill your team and drive continuous improvement

Required Skills and Experience

  • Extensive experience in the financial services industry
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and supervise teams effectively
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills
  • Experience of working in a rapidly evolving and changing environment with line management responsibilities
  • Track record of implementing process improvements and creating robust operational risk control frameworks
  • Ability to create a team culture that drives productivity, quality, and effective change management
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose issues and deliver long-term plans and large-scale projects
