Marketing Strategic Initiatives Director, London
It's an exciting time at AVEVA, we are driving an ambitious transformation to become the No.1 Industrial Software Company. In this fast-paced and dynamic role, you will be principally accountable for managing strategic initiatives and investment planning in partnership with the Vice President Marketing Strategy and Transformation and in alignment with the broader corporate and marketing strategy. Through cross-functional collaboration, you will be guiding our team toward marketing best practices and executing the strategy to meet AVEVA's goals.
Responsibilities
This critical role is a key member of the AVEVA senior leadership team working closely and collaboratively with colleagues across the global marketing and sales organizations to maximize marketing performance. In order to keep us aligned with our company goals you will design, implement and monitor marketing strategies. You will identify opportunities for process improvements and manage priority lists to meet long-range plans for growth. The ideal candidate will also act as a key strategic advisor to senior leadership and will be expected to represent the marketing department as a strategic voice to functions across the rest of the company.
- Working with marketing leadership, the business areas and other functions across the company, determine the global marketing strategy and plan for execution while guiding the marketing organization towards best practice planning methodologies.
- In partnership with marketing leadership, oversee and set goals for marketing both long and short term.
- Establish a data-led marketing practice, measuring, managing and analysing marketing performance to maximise effectiveness and optimise return on investment (ROI).
- Track marketing performance, and working with marketing operations, establish a reporting cadence and mechanisms to best understand our challenges and growth opportunities.
- Preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and yearly budgets, and allocating resources appropriately, optimizing our marketing spend and creating improvements in marketing ROI.
- Ensure the marketing team's work is connected and collaborative across teams.
Skills & Qualifications
- Understanding of marketing principles and methodologies working in dynamic Cloud or SaaS organizations
- Strategic planning, analytical and project management skills, with experience in achieving quantifiable results
- Highly observant and analytical
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with Senior Leadership and C-Level, within marketing and across functions
- Proficiency in data analysis and data-driven decision-making
- Strong leadership, initiative to autonomously drive business objectives and make difficult decisions
- Experience in organizational structure improvement, process optimization, and talent strategy calibration
- Experience in working with a test-and-learn mindset in order to optimise our plans and respond in an agile way to new opportunities
- Adaptable and able to deal with ambiguity in a changeable or developing requirement
- Ability to develop and manage best-in-class marketing strategy planning and reporting
