The Marketing & Social Media Copy and Content Writer
- Is a core member of Ziksu's Marketing, Creative, and Business operations team, responsible for shaping brand communication across all channels.
- Plays a central role in developing, writing, and delivering high-quality marketing content, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and strong alignment with brand strategy.
- Creates compelling and engaging copy for social media, websites, email campaigns, blogs, ads, and marketing collateral, tailored for Australian audiences.
- Leads content ideation and development, ensuring messaging supports campaign priorities, brand objectives, and customer engagement goals.
- Works closely with designers, marketing coordinators, and leadership to produce integrated campaigns that deliver strong brand impact and audience engagement.
- Ensures messaging consistency across all marketing touchpoints, adhering to brand guidelines and communication standards.
- Conducts research and gathers insights to produce relevant, accurate, and high-performing content.
- Promotes a culture of creativity, accuracy, and continuous improvement, ensuring all content is thoughtfully developed, data-informed, and quality-driven.

Role specific responsibilities
- Develop high-quality written content for social media posts, paid ads, email campaigns, landing pages, blogs, newsletters, brand stories, and customer communications.
- Create engaging, clear, and persuasive copy that aligns with campaign goals and drives customer engagement and conversions.
- Build and manage social media content calendars, ensuring platforms are consistently updated with relevant, timely content.
- Optimize social media content for reach, engagement, and performance, using insights and platform best practices.
- Collaborate with designers and marketing teams to bring content concepts to life through cohesive visual and written storytelling.
- Research trends, competitors, and customer behaviour to develop content that resonates with Australian audiences.
- Ensure brand tone, voice, and communication style are consistently applied across all content.
- Prepare and optimize email content and subject lines to improve open and click-through rates.
- Rewrite, edit, and proofread content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and brand alignment.
- Assist with SEO-focused content creation, keyword optimization, and website content updates.
- Monitor content performance, analyze insights, and propose improvements to enhance engagement and campaign results.
- Prepare reports, summaries, and post-campaign analyses to support marketing reporting and decision-making.
- Work with marketing leadership to support integrated campaign delivery, brand growth, and communication strategy.
Qualifications & experience:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Journalism, Advertising, or a related field.
- 45 years of professional experience as a Copywriter, Content Writer, or Social Media Content Specialist, preferably for international markets.
- Exceptional English writing and verbal communication skills must be suited for Australian audiences.
- Proven experience writing social media content, ads, blogs, emailers, scripts, and website content.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Meta Suite, and digital content formats.
- Ability to translate complex ideas into clear, engaging, and conversational content.
- Experience with content calendars, marketing workflows, and campaign coordination.
- Familiarity with SEO principles, analytics tools, and audience insights.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple projects with precision and attention to detail.
- Strong collaboration skills with designers, marketing leads, and cross-functional teams.
- Creative thinker with a proactive, problem-solving mindset and a strong eye for detail.
- Ability to analyze content performance metrics and refine content based on insights.
