Role Summary
Lead and scale a strategic events and experiences portfolio that builds NPCI's customer value
proposition, accelerates ecosystem adoption, and deepens partnerships across banks,fintechs,
regulators, Big Tech, and industry bodies.
This role owns India's most complex, high impact industry platforms (e.g., Global FinTech Fest),
flagship NPCI properties, CXO programs, and partnered activations, driving measurable customer,
partner, and industry outcomes, while ensuring regulatory alignment, VVIP protocol excellence, and zero defect execution at scale.
Scope & Scale
Large-format events (100k+ attendees) with VVIP participation and strict protocol
management
Multicity execution; extended work hours during buildup/live days
High-complex stakeholder ecosystem: internal leadership, product, PR/Comms, legal/policy,
government bodies, regulators, industry associations, venue authorities, OEMs, agencies,
and vendors.
Full ownership of the events portfolio; procurement, documentation, compliance, and audit
readiness
Key Responsibilities
1) Strategy & Portfolio Leadership
Define the annual events and experiences strategy (owned, hosted, cobranded, trade
shows) aligned to NPCI brand, product priorities, customer segments, and partnership goals.
Prioritize industry platforms, speaking slots, sponsorships, and ROI objectives.
Develop multitier event models (flagship, regional, hybrid) with audience, content, and
budget guardrails.
2) Customer Value Proposition through Experiences
Translate NPCI's product and platform value into high impact, insight led experiences for
banks, fintechs, merchants, regulators, and global partners.
Design customer journeys across events, from awareness → engagement → adoption →
partnerships.
Enable business teams with events as customer acquisition, education, and
relationship deepening channels, not just visibility assets.
3) Partnership Led Growth & Ecosystem Collaboration
Build and scale strategic partnerships.
Cocreate partnered platforms, pavilions, stages, and programs that drive mutual value.
Structure sponsorships, MoUs, and cobranding models with clear commercial, brand, and
ecosystem outcomes.
4) End-to-end Event Program Management
Lead concept → planning → execution → post event closure.
Drive venue planning, production, fabrication, branding, content, talent, rehearsals, and
show flow.
Manage accreditation, VIP routing, access control, crowd management.
5) Stakeholder, Regulatory & Protocol Management
Act as single threaded owner for cross functional alignment - CXOs, product, PR/Comms,
legal/compliance, finance, procurement.
Liaise with IAMAI/PCI, government bodies, and regulators (e.g., RBI) for participation,
approvals, messaging protocols, and joint announcements.
Coordinate with security agencies for VVIP movement, route, dais protocols, green rooms,
and risk mitigation.
6) Marketing, Communications & Content
Lead integrated event marketing across paid/owned/earned channels.
Develop content calendars, scripts, speaker briefs, panel flows.
Ensure brand governance across all collaterals and experiences
7) Event Tech, Digital & Data
Own event tech stack (registration, ticketing, checkin, mobile app, lead capture, badge
printing, QR/NFC, session analytics).
Manage live streaming, broadcasts, multiplatform content.
Build dashboards, real-time monitoring, and post-event analytics
8) Commercials, Contracts & Governance
Define budgets, BOQs, cost controls; negotiate OEMs/agencies/venues.
Run RFPs, SLAs, SOWs with airtight deliverables & compliance.
Ensure permits, insurance, standards, documentation, audit trails.
9) Team Leadership & Vendor Ecosystem
Hire, mentor, and scale a high performing events team.
Govern fabrication, A/V, broadcast, experiential, logistics, hospitality partners.
Institutionalize SOPs, playbooks, premortems & postmortems.
10) Measurement & ROI
Define event KPIs; track pre/during/post event metrics.
Report ROI/outcomes (NPS, leads/meetings, media reach, engagement, cost per result).
Institutionalize learnings to optimize portfolio (format, content, spend, partner mix).
11) Governance, Risk & Compliance
Adherence to RBI/government/regulatory protocols, VVIP security guidelines (SPG/Police).
100% compliance across permits, insurance, EHS
Maintain complete SOPs, SoWs, SLAs, MoUs, and audit trails (POs, GRNs, invoices,
performance evaluations).
Candidate Profile
MBA/PGDM (Marketing/Comms; Events specialization preferred)
Proven delivery of large-scale, multiday, multitrack events (30k–100k+)
Experience in BFSI/FinTech/Tech or top experiential/event agencies
Strong stakeholder management, executive presence, operational rigor
Documentation-first, governance-focused; crisis handling capability. Proficient in MS Office;
familiarity with Adobe/Figma
KPIs / Success Metrics
>95% on-time delivery; <5% budget variance.
Stakeholder NPS ≥ 8.5/10 (internal, partners, regulators).
Qualified meetings/leads or partner outcomes vs. target (preset per event).
Media & digital reach vs. benchmark; content turnaround ≤ 48 hours post event for
highlights.
Zero critical incidents; 100% compliance & documentation closure within 10 business days.
