What You'll Do

As the Marketing Manager Content Strategy & Copywriting, you will play a pivotal role in driving our content marketing strategy while also leading copy development across communication channels. You will work cross-functionally with marketing, design, and product teams to execute impactful campaigns that elevate our brand and drive engagement.

1. Content Strategy & Planning

  • Contribute to the development and execution of the overall content marketing strategy.
  • Conduct research on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to identify new content opportunities.
  • Help plan and manage the editorial calendar to maintain a consistent flow of high-quality, targeted content.
  • Analyze content performance metrics and make data-driven recommendations to optimize future strategies.

2. Copywriting & Brand Voice

  • Craft persuasive, clear, and engaging copy across platforms including websites, emails, landing pages, product descriptions, case studies, ads, and more.
  • Ensure all content aligns with AssessPrep's tone, style, and messaging guidelines.
  • Collaborate on brand voice development and consistently reflect it across all touchpoints.
  • Support product launches and marketing campaigns with compelling messaging and storytelling.

3. Email Marketing Management

  • Plan and execute email marketing campaigns: newsletters, promotional blasts, and nurture sequences.
  • Manage email segmentation, list hygiene, and automation workflows using relevant tools.
  • Monitor email KPIs (open rates, CTRs, conversions) and optimize performance.

4. Social Media Marketing & Community Engagement

  • Develop, schedule, and publish engaging content across social media channels (LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Facebook).
  • Monitor conversations, respond to comments/messages, and foster community interaction.
  • Track social media performance metrics and recommend improvements to increase reach and engagement.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience: 6+ years in content strategy, copywriting, or marketing communications, ideally in SaaS or edtech environments.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to shape and execute content plans that align with business goals.
  • Leadership: Strong collaboration and mentoring skills to support junior writers or freelancers.
  • Creative Flair: Ability to craft narratives that captivate, convert, and differentiate.
  • Analytical Acumen: Comfort using data to measure impact and guide improvements.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with email automation platforms, SEO tools, CMSs, and analytics dashboards.
  • Detail-Oriented: High bar for copy quality, accuracy, and consistency.

A Typical Week Might Include

  • Brainstorming and planning new content themes and calendar items for the next quarter.
  • Writing and reviewing copy for a product update launch across web, email, and social channels.
  • Analyzing last week's email campaign performance and preparing insights for iteration.
  • Hosting a cross-functional meeting with product and design to align on a campaign brief.
  • Engaging on LinkedIn with the educator community to share updates and spark discussion.
