Job Title: Marketing Consultant
Location: Bangalore/chennai/Delhi/remote
Reports To: Vertical Head and Group Marketing Head

Role Overview
The Marketing Consultant Industry Verticals will play a pivotal role in driving market penetration, brand positioning, and business growth for their assigned sector. This role demands an enterprising and well-rounded marketer who can define sector opportunities, restate value propositions, and drive integrated marketing initiatives that deliver tangible results in client acquisition, wallet share, and profitability.
The consultant will act as a bridge between business strategy and marketing execution collaborating with Sales, Finance, and Group Marketing to build the sector's identity, visibility, and revenue outcomes and also close deals where possible.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sectoral Market Leadership
- Study and analyse the assigned industry sector to define its market opportunity for the Group.
- Identify target companies, emerging trends, and competitor activities to inform marketing and sales strategies.
- Build strong sectoral identity and positioning in line with CIELHR's overall brand.
2. Value Proposition and Offerings
- Restate and tailor CIELHR's value proposition for the assigned sector for all the Offerings of CIELGroup brands (CIELHR, MAFoi, Jombay, Thomas Assessments, Vibrant, Courseplay, HFactor etc.)
- Position all products and services HR, Recruitment, Staffing, Consulting, and allied offerings to address sector-specific needs.
- Collaborate with the Vertical Head and Sales team to align on pricing, placement, and packaging of offerings.
3. Market Penetration & Business Enablement
- Drive initiatives to increase client acquisition and deepen engagement within existing accounts.
- Lead cross-selling efforts across all CIELHR platforms and services to improve wallet share.
- Focus on enhancing profitability through strategic marketing interventions.
4. Marketing Execution
- Work with Group Marketing to develop sector-specific collaterals, digital campaigns, and communication assets.
- Coordinate social media, webinars, podcasts, events, PR, and sponsorships to enhance visibility.
- Prepare and circulate a Weekly Newsletter capturing key developments in the sector new projects, policy changes, major appointments, etc.
5. Collaboration & Cross-Functional Integration
- Partner closely with Sales teams to redefine focus areas, refine go-to-market approaches, and strengthen lead quality.
- Collaborate with the Financial Analysis team to review sectoral performance, revenue contribution, and profitability metrics.
- Engage with Marketing, Product, and Delivery teams to ensure aligned and impactful campaigns.
6. Direct Sales
- Where opportunities are available, should go ahead and close the deal without waiting to pass the lead
- Should be comfortable going out and meeting the clients
Performance Metrics
- Growth in Gross Profit (GP) and Margins from the assigned sector.
- Number of new client acquisitions.
- Depth of penetration increased market share and multi-service adoption.
- Quality and impact of sectoral marketing initiatives.
- Timely and insightful Weekly Newsletters and market intelligence reports.
Profile Requirements
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of market research, competitive analysis, and go-to-market strategy.
- Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Strong content creation and communication capabilities.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on ROI-driven marketing.
- Self-starter, highly organised, and willing to work on-site with the Vertical Head.
Education:
- MBA/PGDM in Marketing, Business, or related field preferred.(L4)
Experience (Preferred):
- Experience in B2B Marketing, Sectoral Marketing, or Enterprise Business Development, ideally within HR, Consulting, or Service industries.
- Proven experience in integrated marketing (digital + offline) and sector-focused campaigns.
- Preferred 1-5 years
Work Environment
- Work Mode: On-site preferred/Hybrid (ideally same location as Vertical Head)
- Travel: As required for market immersion, client events, and industry networking.
