Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive Business Development Manager with 12 years of experience in a media, creative, or social media agency. The candidate should be confident in client communication and pitching, have a creative approach to conversations, and possess a strong understanding of social media management and digital services. The role focuses on maintaining relationships with existing clients while actively bringing new clients and projects to the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for existing clients, ensuring clear, professional, and consistent communication.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with current clients to encourage repeat business and upselling of services.
- Identify, generate, and convert new business opportunities through networking, cold outreach, referrals, and industry connections.
- Actively bring new clients and projects aligned with the company's media, creative, and digital offerings.
- Prepare and deliver creative and persuasive client pitches, proposals, and presentations.
- Understand client requirements and translate them into clear briefs for internal creative, design, and social media teams.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth project onboarding, execution, and timely delivery.
- Follow up on leads, manage negotiations, close deals, and ensure proper handover of projects.
- Track sales pipelines, client interactions, and project status using CRM tools or internal systems.
- Stay updated with market trends, competitor activities, and emerging digital and social media practices.
- Represent the company professionally in meetings, presentations, events, and client discussions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 12 years of experience in a media agency, creative agency, or social media company.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a confident pitching style.
- Proven ability to acquire new clients and generate business.
- Creative mindset with the ability to present ideas and solutions effectively.
- Practical knowledge of social media platforms and social media management.
- Basic understanding of digital marketing, branding, and creative services.
- Good negotiation, follow-up, and relationship-management skills.
- Self-driven, result-oriented, and comfortable working with targets.
Preferred (Good to Have)
- Experience handling retainer clients and project-based clients.
- Familiarity with agency pitch decks, proposals, and case studies.
- Understanding of creative services such as branding, video production, motion graphics, or campaigns.
- Experience using CRM tools or sales tracking software.
