Role Description The Marketing Business Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Singapore. This role is responsible for developing and executing marketing and business development strategies to grow CGS's client base and strengthen relationships with shipping lines, forwarders, and project cargo customers. Daily activities include identifying new business opportunities, preparing proposals, and leading commercial negotiations for heavy haulage and project logistics services. The individual will collaborate with operations and logistics teams to align service offerings with market needs, manage key accounts, and maintain accurate sales pipelines and performance reports. The role also involves overseeing marketing campaigns, digital presence, and participation in industry events to enhance brand visibility and support revenue growth.
Qualifications
- Business development and sales skills, including lead generation, opportunity qualification, and commercial negotiation.
- Marketing and digital marketing capabilities, such as campaign planning, content coordination, and brand positioning.
- Client relationship management skills, including key account management, stakeholder communication, and partnership development.
- Knowledge of logistics, shipping, and project cargo operations, particularly heavy haulage and specialized cargo handling.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret market data and sales metrics to guide decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional regional languages are an advantage.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and adapt in a fast-paced, operational environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Prior experience in shipping, freight forwarding, project logistics, or heavy haulage is highly desirable.
