Marketing Associate

The ideal candidate is excited about events as a product and energized by the challenge of driving registrations, sponsorship sales, and engagement. Location: Pune

Roles & Responsibilities:

Live Event Marketing

  • Execute multi-channel attendee recruitment campaigns for conferences and smaller live events, coordinating promotional activities such as email campaigns, social media, speaker and sponsor promotion, etc.
  • Support sponsorship sales by executing demand generation campaigns that identify and engage prospective event sponsors (technology and solution providers) through targeted outreach
  • Collaborate closely with events and sales teams to develop and execute integrated marketing plans for each conference, tracking registration data, sponsorship pipeline activity, and campaign performance
  • Apply successful marketing tactics across events in the portfolio to continuously improve overall performance

Marketing Copywriting

  • Write compelling copy for event websites, landing pages, promotional emails, social media posts, and digital advertising that resonates with senior financial services and insurance audiences
  • Develop event marketing materials including prospectuses, one-pagers, sales collateral, recruiting kits, and sponsor benefit guides that effectively communicate event value propositions
  • Ensure all copy maintains consistent brand voice while adapting messaging and tone for different audience segments (attendees vs. sponsors, C-suite vs. practitioners)

Webinar Program Management

  • Manage end-to-end webinar execution including scheduling, building registration pages in WordPress, email promotion, live event management, post-event follow-up, and platform setup
  • Write and schedule promotional emails for webinars and virtual events, coordinating with research analysts on topic selection and timing while maintaining the webinar calendar

Data Management & Reporting

  • Process webinar and event registration data, maintaining accurate records in Salesforce, and track campaign performance metrics including email performance, webinar attendance, event registrations, and sponsorship lead generation
  • Analyze performance data to identify optimization opportunities, share insights across the events portfolio, and conduct post-event analysis to document learnings and recommend improvements
  • Create regular performance reports with key metrics for stakeholder review

Success Measures:

  • Achieve registration targets for each live event (specific targets set annually)
  • Generate qualified sponsorship leads meeting volume and quality targets to support event sales goals
  • Maintain average webinar attendance rate of 45% through effective confirmation and reminder campaigns
  • Demonstrate measurable improvement in email performance metrics (open rates, click-through rates) through testing and optimization
  • Complete marketing automation platform certification within first 90 days

Required Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience in event marketing, preferably in B2B or professional services environments
  • Excellent copywriting skills with ability to craft compelling marketing messages for diverse audiences in multiple channels/formats
  • Background in demand generation or lead generation marketing
  • Marketing automation platform experience (HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot, or similar)
  • WordPress content management experience
  • Salesforce or CRM experience
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
  • Analytical mindset with comfort using data to inform decisions
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently while collaborating cross-functionally
  • Passion for events and commitment to delivering quality attendee experiences

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience marketing to financial services, banking, wealth management, or insurance audiences
  • Demonstrated experience marketing events to a senior-level audience
  • Event technology platform experience (Cvent, Swoogo, or similar)
  • Portfolio of marketing copy samples demonstrating range and effectiveness
