Job Description
As a Manufacturing Engineering Specialist at Danfoss Power Solutions Segment in Pune, IND, you will be responsible for managing Manufacturing Engineering activities to enhance efficiency and meet customer and organizational expectations. Your role will involve designing, developing, evaluating, improving, and standardizing manufacturing processes and systems in close alignment with Operations, ensuring functional alignment with the Danfoss Business System. You will collaborate with Manufacturing and Process Engineering teams to drive key engineering processes and contribute towards a more efficient future.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, standardization, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, tooling, and systems with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
Support manufacturing and quality teams to ensure processes consistently meet or exceed customer expectations, troubleshoot issues, and enable fast problem resolution, including direct customer communication when necessary.
Collaborate with operations and quality teams to implement process changes effectively, respond to customer issues in a timely manner, and drive aligned actions.
Utilize expertise in process engineering, tooling, equipment selection, and problem-solving to enhance production performance, documentation, and standardization of work practices.
Stay updated on new manufacturing technologies, recommend improvements, and oversee the development of new methods, equipment, and production controls.
Qualifications Required
Minimum of 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with knowledge of precision machining processes and time-study/estimation expertise.
Hands-on experience with various tools such as PFMEA, APQP, PPAP, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, Lean Manufacturing, and proficiency in AutoCAD / Pro-E.
Ability to work effectively across all levels and support cross-functional problem-solving activities.
Strong communication and documentation skills to interact with internal teams and customers on technical issues.
Proactive mindset, problem-solving orientation, continuous improvement approach, and ability to drive results throughout the project lifecycle.
