As a Manufacturing Engineer, you are responsible for developing and maintaining methods, operating sequences, and processes in the fabrication of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies. You'll work closely with other engineering functions to coordinate the release of product improvements and new products, and you'll use engineering principles to estimate and reduce manufacturing costs, improve product quality, determine time standards, and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements. Your expertise in lean principles, automation, and continuous improvement will be instrumental in driving operational excellence and achieving higher levels of productivity and cost-effectiveness. You'll develop and use test procedures, evaluate test results, and assess work methods, procedures, and policies to identify root cause issues and solutions that ensure operational success.

Role Responsibilities:

    • Review, define, and validate Bill of Materials (BOM) for CES requests collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate closure of CES activities.
    • Possess strong working knowledge of configuration and change management processes, including ECR, ESW, NSR, CCR, and SPS.
    • Demonstrate solid understanding of SMBOM concepts and overall BOM structures, ensuring alignment across engineering and manufacturing.
    • Partner with Floor Manufacturing Engineers (ME) to investigate and resolve manufacturing-related issues efficiently.
    • Support and execute NSR-to-CES conversions, ensuring compliance with process standards.
    • Maintain proficient knowledge of Teamcenter and NX for product structure, change control, and design collaboration.
    • Develop and maintain manufacturing methods, operating sequences, and processes for fabrication of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to coordinate product improvements, new product introductions, and manage manufacturing engineering projects as required.
    • Lead and promote Design for Excellence (DFx) initiatives to drive cost reduction, improve manufacturability, and enhance overall product quality.
    • Establish time standards and provide recommendations for tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing process requirements.
    • Develop and execute test procedures, evaluate results, and continuously improve work methods, procedures, and policies.
    • Identify root causes and define corrective actions for issues encountered during assembly or system testing perform Process FMEA and prepare detailed reports as needed.
    • Mentor, guide, and train junior engineers to build technical capability and reinforce best practices within the team.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical

  • 10-15 years of experience

  • Demonstrated conceptual knowledge and technical experience for everyday problem-solving on the job


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Solid interpersonal skills-including the ability to clearly explain difficult or sensitive information, and the ability to build consensus


Physical Requirements:
This position may require standing for extended periods of time, walking, working in tight spaces, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, lifting, the ability to distinguish between colors, the ability to work in an environment with noise that may be difficult for some individuals with sensitivity to noise, and the use of hand and power tools. Additionally, because this position also may involve working in a clean room, the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment such as coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields may be required.
