Responsibility:

1) Operations Execution

  • Manage day-to-day operations across supply chain, inventory, procurement, warehouse, and service workflows.
  • Maintain and update operational trackers, documentation, and data systems for purchase orders, stock movement, dispatches, returns, service issues, and open actions.
  • Support procurement activities including vendor sourcing, quotations, sample coordination, cost comparison, and follow-ups.
  • Work with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely execution of operational tasks.
  • Visit warehouses, service hubs, vendor sites, and logistics partners when required.
  • Own and deliver assigned projects with defined timelines, stakeholders, and outcomes.

2) Mechanical and Product Problem Solving

  • Inspect parts, accessories, packaging, assemblies, and service returns to identify likely product or process failure modes.
  • Interpret basic mechanical specifications, drawings, BOMs, tolerances, materials, packaging requirements, and inspection criteria.
  • Analyze recurring product, assembly, service, or customer issues and help identify root causes.
  • Suggest practical design, material, packaging, handling, assembly, or process improvements based on observed problems.
  • Work with mechanical engineering, quality, service, and vendor teams to validate proposed fixes.
  • Convert field, warehouse, vendor, or service observations into structured engineering inputs with photos, measurements, defect counts, and clear problem statements.

3) Process, Quality, and Vendor Improvements

  • Map and analyze operational and assembly processes; create flow diagrams, SOPs, checklists, and work instructions to improve repeatability.
  • Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to develop and refine SOPs for handling, inspection, packing, rework, and service workflows.
  • Support incoming quality checks by defining practical pass/fail criteria with quality and engineering teams.
  • Track defects, rework, vendor issues, service returns, and corrective actions to closure.
  • Participate in root-cause analysis using practical tools such as 5 Why, fishbone analysis, CAPA, and basic failure analysis.
  • Identify bottlenecks, quality escapes, handling damage, assembly errors, and documentation gaps; recommend fixes that can be implemented on the ground.
  • Help improve vendor quality by sharing clear defect reports, inspection feedback, corrective action requests, and verification results.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in operations, mechanical engineering support, manufacturing, production, quality, service operations, procurement, or a related role.
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple open tasks.
  • Hands-on comfort with physical products, parts, tools, samples, packaging, and on-ground operations.
  • Ability to read and understand basic drawings, specifications, BOMs, tolerances, inspection criteria, and technical documentation.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical parts, materials, manufacturing processes, assembly methods, fitment, and failure modes.
  • Ability to analyze data, defect patterns, serviceissues, and operational bottlenecks.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheets and operational tools.
  • Clear communication with internal teams, vendors, warehouse operators, serviceteams, and engineering stakeholders.
