Key Responsibilities
- As a Manufacturing Engineer, NPI, you will be the interface between product development, project management and the production facility and will be responsible for transforming a new product into a stable production-ready series product. The Process Engineer is responsible for the definition of the tools and process strategy together with PLM and Q, stakeholders and the R&D management team.
- Plan the process, equipment and documents required (DMR) for production activities of healthcare assemblies. Validation of process of the product.
- On-time production of prototypes, pre-series and series start-ups
- Achieving the most cost-effective manufacturing solution (Design to Cost) and ensuring the highest quality for the product and its manufacturing processes (Design to Manufacturing)
- Solve the issues occurring in the production related to process and parts assembled.
- Support in supplier approval process by assessing manufacturing/technology capabilities and Health, Safety and Environmental risks
- Perform on-site supplier visits for root cause analysis and verification of correction actions of supplier quality issues
- Review supplier manufacturing processes, collaborate with suppliers on process improvement and value enhancement opportunities
- Assist with first off sample approvals of the parts from vendor.
- Participate in cross-functional teams in the development of new products or changes related to current products in meeting customer requirements
- Working with Global Business Line R&D to develop and support the process at BLR/ with Local to Global supply of parts / commodities leveraging across manufacturing locations.
- Providing technical advice and guidance to suppliers to reduce defect rates.
- Serving as a liaison between our company's senior management and the vendors to identify quality issues and come up with solutions.
Develop strong, ethical relationships with suppliers with good business practices
Desired Qualification & Experience
- You have successfully completed a university degree with a technical background (mechanical engineering, electrical/electronic engineering, etc.) with 5+ years in Manufacturing Engineering experience
- Experience of process and engineering principles of X-ray imaging systems, Healthcare equipment and associated testing setups and troubleshooting is desired
- Excellent statistical analysis
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance
- Effective communication
- You already have experience in dealing with international projects with technical content.
- Due to your knowledge of project management, you are familiar with leading project teams.
