Job Purpose Statement

As a Production Engineer responsible for managing the Assembly and Test scope you will participates in engineering solutions as part of the Manufacturing Engineering function, in accordance with TechnipFMC standards, procedures, processes, schedules and budget, with a continuous concern for quality, targets, and customer satisfaction. You will also play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of the production processes and ensure manufacturing packages containing user documents and standards are created in collaboration with the Industrial Engineer role and under the guidance of Lead engineers operating in the Front End of the Production Engineering organization structure.

Main Accountabilities

  • Review of drawings, part reports and procedures to ensure parts can be safely produced in the most effective and efficient manner possible following the DFx methodology and Safe System of Work standards.
  • Participates in the creation of production documentation, such as, assembly & test procedures, work instructions, routings, under supervision of more experienced engineers.
  • Assists in the development of the production process to improve the performance standard and/or meet strategic objectives Collaborate with various teams, including Manufacturing and Design to ensure successful production outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain standard routings per module and product families to control costs and plan lead times effectively
  • Creates written specifications for the design and/or supply of shop tools. Review and maintain tooling configuration setup documentation in line with project needs.
  • Update user documents based on 1st Article findings to reflect improvements and changes.
  • Supports daily needs of production by responding to and resolving flow disruptions; seeks guidance when required.
  • Review of drawings, part reports and procedures to ensure parts can be safely produced in the most effective and efficient manner possible.
  • Assists in Quality Notification disposition and implementation where required.
  • Participates in Problem Solving events such as Root Cause Analysis, 5 Why or more complex cause maps/fault tree analysis.

Key Relationships

Internally: Subsea/surface senior engineers and designers, manufacturing, operations,project management team, other discipline engineers.

Externally: Suppliers and contractors. May have Customer contact with supervision from more senior engineers.

Job Challenges

  • Continually seek to improve through process automation, standardization, simplification, and digitalization of deliverables using software including but not limited to Power BI, Power Apps, Python, SQL, etc, while at the same time executing project work.
  • Management of concurrent tasks across multiple projects.
  • Engagement with the design teams early to influence the product design in terms of manufacturability.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 - 4 years of experience in the Oil and Gas manufacturing industry with a focus on Assembly and Test. Other relevant experience will be considered.

  • Strong knowledge in engineering principles
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes, production documentation, and routing.
  • Show evidence of good organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities
  • Service/Customer oriented
  • Good command of English
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a team-oriented environment and project culture
  • Understanding in use of CAD/CAM (NX), PLM Systems (TCE) and ERP Systems (SAP).
  • Basic understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
