Manual Testing Manager

Job Summary:

The Manual Testing Manager leads the manual testing team to ensure the quality and reliability of software products. Responsible for planning, executing, and managing manual testing activities, this role ensures that products meet functional requirements and are delivered defect-free.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and manage manual testing activities and resources
• Develop test strategies, test plans, and test cases based on requirements
• Lead and mentor a team of manual testers, providing guidance and support
• Coordinate with development, product management, and other stakeholders
• Monitor testing progress, report defects, and track resolution
• Ensure compliance with QA standards and best practices
• Participate in process improvements and testing automation initiatives
• Manage test environments and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT)

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in software testing with at least 2 years in a managerial role
• Strong knowledge of manual testing methodologies, test case design, and defect management
• Experience with testing tools like JIRA, TestRail, Quality Center, or similar
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills
• Understanding of SDLC and Agile testing practices

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with automation testing tools and frameworks
• ISTQB or equivalent certification
• Knowledge of performance testing and security testing concepts
• Experience in diverse domains like web, mobile, and enterprise applications
