Manual Tester

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Manual Tester responsible for ensuring application quality, reliability, and performance through structured test planning, execution, and defect management. The ideal candidate will analyze business requirements and design documents to create effective test scenarios, prepare and execute test cases, and perform various testing types including functional, regression, integration, system, UAT, and smoke/sanity testing.
Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements and design documents to create comprehensive test scenarios.
- Prepare and execute test cases across multiple testing types.
- Log and track defects using tools such as JIRA, ALM, Bugzilla, or Azure DevOps.
- Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Prepare test reports and monitor execution status.
- Participate in review meetings and sprint ceremonies.
- Support application releases across various environments.
Mandatory Skills
- Strong understanding of SDLC/STLC.
- Proficiency with test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, HP ALM, Zephyr).
- Ability to write clear and concise test cases.
- SQL knowledge for backend validation.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred Skills
- Basic API testing knowledge (Postman).
- Exposure to automation concepts (Selenium, Python, Java).
- Telecom domain experience.
- Familiarity with performance or security testing basics.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
