Job Description

  • As a Manual Tester, you will be responsible for verifying software functionality, usability, and performance through detailed test planning and execution.
  • Work closely with business analysts, developers, and QA leads to understand requirements and translate them into detailed test cases.
  • Execute test cases manually, identify bugs, and ensure that issues are logged, tracked, and closed within defined timelines.
  • Participate in test planning, test data setup, reviews, and defect triaging meetings.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure software meets business expectations before release.

What should you bring along

  • 5 -10 years of experience in manual testing of web, desktop, or mobile applications.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and documentation skills.
  • Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect life cycle.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within Agile or Waterfall environments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Must have technical skill

  • Proficiency in writing test scenarios, test cases, and test data preparation.
  • Experience using test management tools like JIRA, Zephyr, TestLink, or HP ALM.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL to validate backend data.
  • Familiarity with bug tracking tools and clear defect reporting practices.
  • Very good knowledge on Database.
  • Ability to perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and exploratory testing.
  • Knowledge on Sales Journey, Banking/SF.

Good to have skills

  • ISTQB Foundation Level certification or equivalent.
  • Exposure to API testing using Postman or Swagger.
  • Basic understanding of automation tools like Selenium (for growth into hybrid roles).
  • Experience working in BFSI, healthcare, e-commerce, or telecom domains.
  • Knowledge of accessibility and usability testing principles.
