We are seeking a skilled Manual API Tester with 5-6 years of experience to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our API services through comprehensive testing and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Designing and executing test cases for API endpoints.
- Analyzing API documentation to ensure test coverage.
- Identifying, documenting, and tracking defects found during testing.
- Collaborating with developers and product managers to understand API functionalities.
- Performing regression testing to ensure existing functionalities are not broken.
- Providing feedback on API usability and performance based on testing results.
Skills and Qualifications
- 5-6 years of experience in manual API testing.
- Strong understanding of RESTful and SOAP APIs.
- Proficiency in tools like Postman, SoapUI, or similar for API testing.
- Experience with writing and executing test cases and test plans.
- Basic understanding of SQL and databases to validate data returned by APIs.
- Familiarity with API documentation tools and methodologies.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
