Description
We are looking for an experienced API Tester to join our team in India. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our APIs through rigorous testing and collaboration with development teams.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute test cases for APIs based on specifications.
- Identify, record, and track bugs using a bug tracking tool.
- Work closely with developers and product teams to understand API functionality and requirements.
- Perform regression testing to ensure existing functionality remains intact after updates.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve code quality and testing practices.
Skills and Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in API testing or software testing.
- Proficiency in using testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or similar.
- Strong understanding of RESTful and SOAP web services.
- Knowledge of JSON and XML data formats.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks like JUnit, TestNG, or similar is a plus.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
