This dynamic role is ideal for someone who enjoys a good challenge, likes engaging with people, and takes ownership and pride in their work keeping the end result in mind. This person will lead to the expansion of revenue for the company, which is now expanding across India.

As the Associate Manager People & Culture, you will serve as the primary people partner for a 40-member team. Acting as both a talent architect and process owner, you will lead recruitment across levels while ensuring operational rigor across the employee lifecycle. You will partner closely with leadership to anticipate hiring needs, build structured evaluation frameworks, and close high-quality talent aligned with Verona's standards.

Beyond hiring, you will design and run core people processesincluding performance management, compliance, and engagementbringing structure, data discipline, and consistency to how the organization hires, evaluates, and develops its team.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's in Human Resources or related field preferred.
  • 25 years of experience across talent acquisition and HR operations, preferably in early-stage or high-growth environments.
  • Proven ownership of end-to-end recruitment across functions and levels, with demonstrated success closing high-quality hires.
  • Strong analytical capability with experience defining, tracking, and improving hiring and people metrics.
  • High ownership mindset with the ability to operate as a standalone HR anchor for a small team.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Talent Acquisition (Primary Focus)

  • Own end-to-end hiring across functions and levels, from workforce planning through onboarding.
  • Continuously refine TA processes, interview frameworks, and assessment standards to improve quality and predictability of hires.
  • Own and report all hiring metrics (funnel conversion, time-to-fill, source effectiveness, quality of hire) and drive data-backed improvements.
  • Build talent pipelines and represent Verona at hiring events, industry forums, and campus engagements to strengthen employer brand.

2.HR Operations & Compliance

  • Manage the complete employee lifecycle: onboarding, confirmations, transitions, exits, and documentation.
  • Oversee payroll inputs, benefits administration, HRIS management, and vendor coordination.
  • Ensure statutory compliance, policy governance, and audit readiness through standardized processes.

3.Performance Management & Core Processes

  • Design and run goal-setting and performance review cycles, including calibration.
  • Enable managers with structured feedback frameworks and performance improvement mechanisms.
  • Ensure alignment between individual performance and company objectives.

4.Employee Engagement & Organizational Support

  • Drive engagement initiatives, retention planning, and career pathing frameworks.
  • Partner with leadership on org structure, hiring priorities, and broader people decisions.

Location/Work Environment: The Vatika Triangle; Gurgaon, India.
