Makse Group is seeking a Managing Consultant to join our Workday Financials Practice. This role is designed for a strategic leader with a deep background in finance and accounting who can provide expert post-production support.
As a Managing Consultant, you will lead a complex support workstream and serve as a primary advisor for senior client stakeholders. Your role involves driving system optimizations, mentoring consultants on delivery excellence, and supporting the growth of the practice through best-practice implementation and business development efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Lead client Financial Management workstream, providing expert guidance on best practices for Core Financials, Procurement, and Expense Management in a post-go-live environment.
- Hands-on design, solutioning, and configuration of enhancements within Spend areas, including Supplier Accounts/Contracts, Business Assets, Expenses, and Inventory.
- Manage client service levels (SLAs), work plans, and deadlines for multiple concurrent customers on short-to-medium duration optimization projects.
- Oversee data conversion, integration maintenance, and regression testing activities across complex, live client environments.
- Identify process gaps and enhancement opportunities; drive the adoption of innovative new Workday features during semi-annual releases.
- Mentor and develop junior and senior consultants, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and delivery excellence.
- Support organizational growth by assisting with client presentations, renewals, and proposal development.
Requirements:
- 6+ years of professional experience in public accounting or private industry finance/accounting.
- Must have 4+ years of team leading experience and managing deliverables under tight timelines.
- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Prior experience with cloud-based accounting systems (ERP/CRM). Workday experience is a significant plus.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills and familiarity with Google Cloud tools.
