About the Role
The Volunteer Manager will be responsible for driving the strategy, planning, and execution of Bhumi's volunteer engagement initiatives through Bhumi Clubs. The role demands a strong people leader who can build systems, develop volunteer leaders, and inspire a culture of active citizenship.
About the Program:
Bhumi is building one of India's largest volunteer movements. By 2030, we aim to engage 10 lakh volunteers through Bhumi Clubs, a grassroots movement of volunteers and leaders enabling hyperlocal contributions to their own communities. Every Bhumi volunteer is a changemaker, and an active citizen working toward a better India.
Roles & Responsibilities of Programme Manager
- Maximise volunteer engagement through well-designed events, scaled campaigns, and consistent local club activities.
- Improve volunteer retention by fostering a sense of purpose, recognition, and meaningful connections.
- Build a strong pipeline of community and volunteer leaders through structured leadership development.
- Sustainably scale the volunteer movement across geographies through partnerships, systems, and data-driven decisions.
Preferred Education Qualification / Experience:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in any relevant field or a fellowship
- Minimum 3 years of Volunteering experience and community engagement.
- Minimum 2 years experience in Volunteer management.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with volunteers
- Excellent communication skills- English.
- Active on social media. Prompt and consistent interaction with volunteers and coordinators essential
- Proactive, Self-Monitored, Resourceful, Accountable
- Problem solving and Decision-making skills are essential
- Willingness to travel nationally and locally as required
- High Emotional maturity
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage people-centric processes.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills.

- Scope : Full Time
- Age Criteria : under 35 years
- Reporting to : Bhumi Clubs - Manager.
- Salary Range: 7,00,000 - 8,50,000 (based on candidate profile)
- Expected Start Date: Immediate
