Responsibilities
Job Description
- Building and reviewing financial models to estimate fair value for Private Credit Investments
- Performing financial statement spreading using AI software
- Updating and reviewing valuation models for private credit deals
- Preparing detailed memos, reports and presentations to present findings to management
- Manage third-party valuation reviews and liaise with external auditors
- Independently gathering data pertinent to the investments/models
- Addressing client/team queries in a clear and concise manner
- Coordinating with deal teams to understand deal structures, validate inputs and assumptions
- Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards (eg IFRS 13/ ASC 820) and regulatory
- Reconciling accounting system with internal valuations monthly
- Handling internal and external communications as well as managing client expectations related to team output, quality, and timelines
- Training and mentoring team members and reviewing their work
- Constantly striving for improvement in overall delivery by actively collaborating with the client
- Assisting in the development and enhancement of valuation policies, procedures, and controls
- Executing multiple assignments, including ad-hoc projects, within tight deadlines
- Staying updated on market trends and valuation methods
- Adhering to high-quality standards and industry best practices
Skills Required
- Sound experience in valuation and financial modelling (discounted cash flow, market multiple, market transaction) (7+ years)
- Exposure to US/European primary and secondary markets
- Strong excel modelling and analytical skills
- Knowledge of third-party databases such as Bloomberg, CapIQ, Thomson Reuters, etc.
- High level of attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience of training, mentoring, and managing analysts
- Strong leadership qualities with a professional demeanour
Advantageous Skills
- Hands-on experience on VBA macros
Academic Requirements
- MBA or equivalent qualification in finance from a reputed institution / CFA
