About the Role:
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Manager UI/UX to lead and scale a team of designers in building world-class digital experiences. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of UI/UX principles, front-end development, and data product design, along with a proven ability to mentor teams, lead projects, engage clients, and drive innovation through Design Thinking and Generative AI (Gen AI) tools. This is a cross-functional leadership role, perfect for someone who thrives at the intersection of design, technology, and business strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing team of UI/UX designers, fostering a culture of collaboration, curiosity, and craft excellence.
- Own end-to-end delivery of design initiatives from discovery to execution across web, mobile, and data-centric products.
- Champion design thinking methodologies and guide the organization in applying user-centered design at scale.
- Design and oversee creation of BI dashboards, data tools, and visualizations that turn complex datasets into intuitive and engaging user experiences.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure that design intent is faithfully translated into production-ready code.
- Contribute to front-end architecture decisions and maintain standards for UI development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript; React or equivalent frameworks).
- Develop and evolve a design system and component library for consistency and scalability across platforms.
- Lead projects from the front, managing resources, timelines, and cross-functional alignment to ensure successful delivery.
- Serve as a strategic partner to clients and internal stakeholders, gathering business requirements and translating them into actionable UX strategies.
- Present work confidently to executives, clients, and non-design stakeholders, using strong communication and storytelling skills.
- Explore and integrate Gen AI tools (e.g., Uizard, DALLE, ChatGPT, Framer AI) to accelerate ideation, prototyping, and content personalization.
- Apply user research, usability testing, and behavioral data to iterate and continuously improve designs.
- Stay current on UI/UX trends, front-end tech, Gen AI innovations, and best practices in data design
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, Data Visualization, or a related field.
- 5 to 7 years of UI/UX design experience, including 2+ years in a leadership or team management role.
- Strong grasp of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and modern frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue).
- Proven experience designing and shipping data-rich or BI products, dashboards, or analytics tools.
- Skilled in communicating complex design concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Track record of success in client-facing or consultative roles, with the ability to influence at senior/executive levels.
- Proficiency with design tools like Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, InVision, and collaboration platforms like Miro or FigJam.
- Hands-on familiarity with Generative AI design tools and an interest in driving design innovation through automation and AI-enhanced workflows.
- Strong portfolio showcasing your design leadership, team impact, and contributions to UI/UX for complex, data-driven products.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in enterprise software, SaaS platforms, or AI-enabled products.
- Certification or formal training in Design Thinking, Front-End Development, or Data Visualization.
- Familiarity with accessibility guidelines (e.g., WCAG) and implementation in both design and code.
