Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Tendering & Bid Management: Lead end-to-end bid lifecycle from opportunity identification, technical/commercial review, compliance matrix drafting, and execution methodology to final proposal submission.
- Cost Estimation & Pricing: Build detailed BOQs, cost sheets, resource plans, and project budgets for 132 kV to 765 kV EHV/HVDC transmission line projects.
- Techno-Commercial Evaluation: Evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes, manage technical deviations, and analyze contractual terms (guarantees, liquidated damages, payment terms, taxation).
- Risk Management & Feasibility: Conduct Go/No-Go assessments, feasibility studies, and contractual risk mitigation plans (ROW, terrain, local regulations).
- Strategic Growth: Track global transmission opportunities, coordinate with JV partners/consultants, and lead pre-qualification filings with state/national power utilities.
- Cost Engineering: Maintain historical productivity benchmarks, cost databases, and support post-award variation claims and cost optimization.
Candidate Qualifications & Technical Profile
- Experience: 10–25 years of experience in domestic transmission line tendering, EPC estimation, bid strategy, and cost engineering.
- Project Exposure: Turnkey Transmission & Distribution expertise in 132 kV, 220 kV, 400 kV, 500 kV, and 765 kV EHV Transmission Lines as well as HVDC transmission projects (Greenfield & Brownfield).
- Software Competency: Advanced MS Excel, Primavera P6, MS Project, Power BI, SAP/Oracle ERP, and working knowledge of AutoCAD & estimation tools.
- Core Competencies: Commercial acumen, strategic thinking, negotiation skills, analytical accuracy, and strong leadership.
- Preferred Industry Background: Top-tier power transmission EPCs such as Kalpataru, KEC International, Sterlite Power, Tata Projects, L&T PT&D, Transrail, Techno Electric, Jyoti Structures, MEIL, or PGCIL.
