Overview

THE ROLE:

The role of Manager Technical Projects & Operations Scaling is to Lead Technical Projects related but not limited to assessing & setting up New Manufacturer, executing Capacity Expansion, Green Field, Brown field, NPD projects in India. The person selected for this role will be responsible for Technical assessment, feasibility assessment, Capacity estimation, equipment selection etc for existing Manufacturer or a New Manufacturer. Projects managed by this role may include New Contract Manufacturer On-Boarding, Capacity Expansions, Greenfield/Brownfields and supplier movements.

This role is Pivotal in ensuring the Technical projects are executed on time and fostering strong relationships between our organization and our valued Manufacturing Partners.

How You Would Contribute

  • Drive Technical projects through all stages of execution, which may include Technical/Feasibility assessment of Potential New Manufacturing Partners, Capacity creations, Capacity expansions, SKU Transfers to new/existing manufacturers, NPI etc
  • Partner with the Manufacturer in the right Process design, Lay out design, Equipment selection, Vendor selection, Drafting URS, FAT, SAT, installation. Qualification and Validation within the agreed Project timelines.
  • Audit Facilities, prepare Gap assessment reports and present executive summary for decision making.
  • Assess facilities that are chosen for Turnkey Projects, New Products, New technologies and collaborate with cross functional team for recommending & approving the facility.
  • Stay on Track on Project Timelines and escalate to Functional head for support & resolution. Keep the PMO team appraised of any changes and amendments in the Project timelines, Tasks etc.
  • Identify potential cost saving, Quality Improvement, ESG projects, submit proposals and execute after approvals and alignment with Manufacturing site. Provide insights on payback benefits.
  • Work on Projects supporting new equipment/line Qualifications, Validations, Testing, finding Gaps, and fixing through technical Solutions.
  • Adopt Best Practices, latest Technology developments, lessons learnt from other Project execution and apply the same during Project execution.
  • Impart Training to the Operations Team and the Manufacturer team on the Technical features, controls of the line.
  • Visit Tech Expos and get updated on the new technologies and prepare repository of OEMs & Vendors.
  • Support Quality Improvement program on the Technical aspects such as Equipment selection, feasibility etc

What's Special About The Team

  • Technical Projects is a new position and the team is now being set up with multiple projects that are in execution, in the pipelines, or in the early stages of proposal & evaluations.
  • This is a new Position set up to Lead Technical projects aligning with Business Strategic plans to build Capacities, identify New Manufacturing Partners for existing Products and new categories.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders from cross functional teams GPS, R&D, PMO, QA, Operations, Planning etc. Serves as the primary point of contact for all major Technical projects, Project related issues, escalations, and inquiries.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders of Manufacturing Partners. Act as a trusted advisor, providing guidance, best practices, and recommendations to optimize Project success and drive long-term satisfaction

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Generally this role will execute the projects and will work with cross functional peers and Business Partners.
  • May have a small team not more than 2 working under him.
  • Will be responsible to oversee the performance of Direct Reports to execute the Projects they are assigned to

Skills And Background Required To Be Successful

  • Strong leadership with good communication skills.
  • Ability to take complete accountability & ownership of the Projects assigned.
  • Analytical skills and ability to manage multiple, complex projects. Individual should have a proven track record in identifying appropriate constituents to drive decision making and action.
  • Solid organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing within multiple departments
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including MS Project, Outlook, Word, and Excel. Any Certifications in Project Management.
  • Fluent in written communication & English
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to find process gaps and provide Technical solutions.
  • Self-motivated, Self driven, proactive, and detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering Goals.
  • Should possess excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish relationships with Manufacturing partners and internal stakeholders

Education & Experience

  • Engineering Graduate/PG preferable in Mechanical/Electrical/ Instrumentation with Project Management experience.
  • 12- 15 yrs experience in a Project Management environment

Preferably from Pharma/ Nutraceutical/ Food Industry
