The Team:
A&M's Global Tax Provision practice is a specialized team within our global Tax offering, providing deep technical expertise on complex income tax accounting (ASC 740, IAS 12) to multinational clients. Operating as a strategic hub from India, we leverage a follow-the-sun model to deliver integrated round-the-clock support to A&M teams and clients across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC.
Our professionals are critical resources for the most challenging provision preparation, review, and advisory needs, particularly for clients undergoing transformative events like mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring. We provide essential support on high-stakes matters including financial reporting, tax controversy, SOX compliance, and the implementation of global tax reforms such as Pillar Two. How you will contribute:

- Tax Provision Preparation and Review: Performing the end-to-end preparation and review of quarterly and annual income tax provisions (ASC 740/IAS 12) for a variety of clients.
- Deferred Tax & Valuation Analysis: Calculating deferred tax assets and liabilities, assessing the need for valuation allowances, return to provisions, and analyzing uncertain tax positions (FIN 48).
- Technical Analysis & Compliance: Researching, analyzing, and documenting complex tax accounting issues to ensure rigorous compliance with relevant standards and SOX controls.
- Client Advisory Support: Providing crucial support on tax advisory services for key client events, including the implementation of global tax reforms (e.g., Pillar Two, updated ASU 2023-09).
- Process Improvement and Innovation: Utilizing technology (e.g., OneSource, Excel, OneStream) to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the tax provision process.
- Collaboration: Working seamlessly with cross-functional internal teams and directly with client personnel to deliver integrated solutions.
Qualifications:
- A professional qualification such as Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, or a Master's degree in Finance/Taxation (or equivalent).
- 6-11 years of relevant experience in direct taxation, corporate tax, or tax accounting (including relevant internship experience).
- Foundational knowledge and a strong desire to develop deep expertise in U.S. GAAP (ASC 740) and/or IFRS (IAS 12) income tax accounting.
- Deep technical expertise in IFRS coupled with a broad understanding of APAC and US tax compliance.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, lookups, formulas, and VBA) and the Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Hands-on experience or familiarity with tax provision software (e.g., OneSource Tax Provision, LongView, CorpTax) is a significant advantage.
- Exposure to enterprise performance management (EPM) systems like Oracle HFM, OneStream, or SAP.
- An understanding of global minimum tax (Pillar Two) rules is a plus.
- A proactive, self-starter attitude, comfortable with ambiguity and driven to deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with the tax regulations and compliance nuances of specific countries is a strong plus
