Manager, Strategic Initiatives

About the Role

We're looking for a sharp, highly motivated individual to join the Uber India and South Asia Strategic Initiatives team. In this role, you will manage ticketing products in the region, focusing on expansion, growth, and leveraging deep analytics to improve performance metrics. This is a unique opportunity to build, manage, and scale travel ticketing to catalyse Uber's growth in the region. In addition to ticketing, you will work on ancillary revenue work-streams.

The Strategic Initiatives team is responsible for owning high-priority 0-to-1 projects in India. Our mission is to transform concepts into scalable, high-impact projects that that directly accelerate Uber's growth in the India and South Asia region.

What the Candidate Will Do

1. Analyze data, synthesize insights, and distill key takeaways to inform critical business actions and decision-making. Implement and manage incentive strategies and experiments.
2. Take end-to-end ownership of ticketing and ancillary revenue work-streams.
3. Maintain strong working relationships with internal and external partners to communicate business needs effectively.
4. Work with cross-functional teams (including Product) to shape the right product experience based on rider VoC.
5. Identify opportunities for process optimisation and drive operational excellence

What the Candidate Will Need

1. Bachelor's degree from top universities in Engineering, Economics, Business, or other disciplines with a quantitative focus.
2. Proficiency in data analytics & SQL for deriving business insights and taking data backed decisions.
3. Strong operational and process-oriented mindset essential for understanding and optimising complex processes
4. Ability to think strategically and implement long-term plans while maintaining attention to detail and managing day-to-day operations
