Job Opening: Manager/Sr. Manager Sales – Crop Protection

Location: Gurugram (Base Location) Experience: 8+ years

About the role:

The role incumbent will support National Sales Head – Crop Protection to help driving overall sales operations to help achieve the P&L and other objectives in line of Annual Business Plan and Long-Term Strategy of the business vertical under the overall guidance of Business Vertical Head. Performance will be measured by consistent delivery of KPI towards P&L in the short term and achieving the strategic milestones for Long Term Strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Drive sales operations to help achieve the P&L in line of Annual Business Plan and Long-term business strategy by

1.Driving the volume, revenue, contribution margins

2.Portfolio and contribution mix across the product categories

3.Manage business quality through optimising Sales returns & Collections, NEX, inventory & WC, driving focus on strategic products and growth geographies

4.Design, execute and communicate price and commercials schemes based on market situation and business objectives

2.Act as a single contact point for Sales operations for the business towards Monthly Sales Outlook, Sales & Operations Plans, Monthly, Quarterly and Year End Estimates, Sales Execution Strategy and long-term growth-related matters in line with CP Business vertical strategy

3.Business Planning and management: Support and facilitate in designing, implementing and achieving the Annual Business Plan and Long-Term Business strategy,

4.Lead and Motivate the Sales Leadership team of Zones / Divisions /Regional and Territory Business Managers to execute sales campaigns & business delivery in accordance with the Annual Business Plan and Long-term Strategy

5.Collaborate with Key stakeholders viz. Marketing, Portfolio Management, Sourcing & Supply Chain, Account &Finance, Demand Generation & Product Evaluation, Branding & Communication for sustainable Business growth. It mainly includes

1.Demand Generation and Marketing for aligning for Campaigns and Promotion Strategies, focus growth areas (crops/products/geographies)

2.Portfolio Management Lead for faster product delivery in gap segments by product inclusions, achieving business objectives of portfolio management

3.Product Evaluation for technical knowledge enhancement

4.Sourcing and Supply Chain team for production and purchase planning, inventory, manufacturing, monitor supply and dispatch plans, sales and permissions and other state level compliances for sales operations

5.Account & Finance team for streamlining business reports, analytics, financial controls, payables and receivables; Contribute and adhere to the commercial policies and pricing structures

6.HR team for trained team in place to support business needs

6.Reporting on the market & customer level trends and help identify new areas of growth – crop, products, geographies, channel, alternate business models to drive future growth

7.De-risk business through contingency plans and new opportunities.

8.Monitor and drive performances of Regional Offices and Channel partners (Distributors, Retailers)

Desired Candidate Profile

•B. Sc Agriculture and MBA

•Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in Channel sales within Crop Protection vertical

KPIs

1.Achievement of key financials viz sales & collections, contributions, portfolio mix, working capital of P&L of CP vertical: Review tools / forums: MCM, RCM, S&OP, Monthly estimates achievement

2.Achievement of the key milestones of the KFA / initiatives of long-Term Business Strategy

3.Achieve Growth objectives from new geographies and focus products
