SUPPLY CHAIN TRANSFORMATION LEAD:
This role will lead the transformation of demand planning capabilities across the organization by
driving improvements in planning processes, systems, and data-driven decision making. The role sits at the intersection of business, supply chain operations, and technology, and is responsible for designing and implementing scalable demand planning frameworks that support business growth while improving forecast accuracy, inventory efficiency, and operational responsiveness.
The incumbent will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders across Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Business teams, and IT to drive adoption of modern demand planning practices and technology platforms.
The role requires strong functional expertise in demand planning, technology orientation toward planning systems, and the ability to re-engineer processes to enable more agile and data-
driven planning.
Key Accountabilities:
· Lead the design and implementation of demand planning transformation initiatives,
including process redesign and system enablement.
· Drive improvements in forecast accuracy, planning cycle efficiency, and inventory
productivity through structured planning frameworks and analytics.
· Translate business planning requirements into technology-enabled solutions by working closely
with IT teams and external partners.
· Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and automate planning processes across the
organization.
· Enable adoption of advanced forecasting methodologies and data-driven planning models.
· Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to strengthen planning governance and alignment
between demand, supply, and inventory planning.
· Support implementation and continuous improvement of demand planning tools and platforms.
· Monitor key planning metrics and drive initiatives to improve planning performance and operational outcomes.
INTERACTIONS WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
· Supply Chain Leadership – Collaborate on demand planning frameworks, forecast alignment, and
planning performance improvement initiatives.
· Operations / Manufacturing Teams – Ensure alignment between demand forecasts, production
planning, and supply capabilities.
· Category / Business Teams – Work closely with business stakeholders to incorporate market
insights, promotions, and growth plans into demand forecasts.
· Finance Team – Align demand planning outputs with financial forecasts and business planning cycles.
· IT & Data Teams – Partner on implementation and enhancement of demand planning systems, data
pipelines, and analytics capabilities.
· Procurement & Inventory Planning Teams – Ensure demand signals translate effectively into
sourcing and inventory planning decisions.
· Technology Vendors / System Implementation Partners – Work with external partners
supporting demand planning platforms and analytics solutions.
· Consultants / Solution Providers – Engage with external experts for process redesign, system
implementation, and best practice adoption where required.
· Industry Networks / Benchmarking Forums (as needed) – Leverage external insights and best
practices to continuously improve planning capabilities.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Qualification:
MBA / PGDM in Operations, Supply Chain, or Analytics preferred.
Certifications in Supply Chain Planning, Forecasting, or Analytics will be an advantage.
Experience:
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of demand forecasting and planning processes.
Familiarity with S&OP / Integrated Business Planning frameworks and inventory planning.
Technology Orientation
Ability to translate business planning needs into system-enabled solutions. Understanding of planning tools and data-driven forecasting approaches. Process & Analytics Ability to analyze and improve planning processes using data and structured problem solving.
Stakeholder Management
Ability to collaborate across Supply Chain, Business, Finance, and IT teams. Execution Ownership Strong ownership mindset with ability to drive transformation initiatives end-to-end.
