About the Role
The Senior Manager/Manager Finance will be responsible for managing end-to-end financial operations, statutory compliance, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls. This role requires strong hands-on expertise in accounting, audits, taxation, and stakeholder coordination, along with the ability to support management in strategic and financial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Oversee day-to-day finance and accounting operations.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closures.
- Prepare and review MIS reports, variance analysis, and management dashboards.
- Ensure compliance with Ind AS and applicable Accounting Standards.
Budgeting & Financial Planning
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and periodic re-forecasting exercises.
- Analyse financial performance against budgets and provide actionable insights.
- Support management with financial modeling and business analysis.
Taxation & Statutory Compliance
- Ensure timely and accurate compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory filings.
- Coordinate with tax consultants for assessments, audits, and regulatory notices.
- Monitor changes in tax laws and ensure timely implementation.
Audit & Internal Controls
- Manage statutory, internal, and tax audits end-to-end.
- Strengthen internal controls and SOPs to mitigate financial and compliance risks.
- Ensure timely closure of audit observations and action points.
Cash Flow & Treasury Management
- Monitor cash flows, working capital, receivables, and payables.
- Manage banking relationships and oversee fund utilization.
- Support treasury activities including payments, reconciliations, and cash flow forecasting.
Stakeholder & Team Management
- Act as a key point of contact for auditors, consultants, banks, and internal stakeholders.
- Mentor and manage junior finance team members.
- Coordinate closely with operations, HR, compliance, and leadership teams.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting, taxation, and statutory compliance
- Experience in budgeting, MIS reporting, and financial analysis
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Zoho Books / Tally / SAP / Oracle or similar)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- High attention to detail with a strong ownership mindset
Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred
- Bachelor's degree in commerce, Finance, or Accounting (mandatory)
Preferred Experience
- 38 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting roles
- Experience in regulated industries such as insurance, financial services, or startups (if applicable)
- Prior exposure to IRDAI / RBI / SEBI or other statutory reporting (preferable)
