Job Title: Manager – O&M (Solar)

1. Job Overview
The Manager – O&M (Solar) will be responsible for centralized coordination and performance monitoring of solar plant operations across multiple sites. This role requires strong technical expertise in electrical systems, effective cross-functional coordination, and data-driven decision-making to ensure optimal plant performance, compliance, and cost efficiency.
2. Key Skills & Competencies
- Proven experience in managing O&M for solar parks of 50 MW or above
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities across distributed site teams
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective stakeholder management and interdepartmental coordination
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- In-depth understanding of solar PV systems and associated components (modules, inverters, SCADA, transformers, switchyards, etc.)
- Proficiency in reporting, MIS, and performance analytics
3. Key Responsibilities
A. Performance Monitoring & Optimization
- Monitor plant performance metrics (Generation, PR, Availability, etc.)
- Identify performance gaps and implement corrective action plans
- Plan and oversee preventive and predictive maintenance schedules
B. Coordination & Compliance
- Coordinate with site teams for timely closure of HSE, ESMS, ESMP, AHA audits, and ATS points
- Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA) implementation
- Ensure compliance with internal and external operational standards
C. Incident Management
- Oversee reporting and investigation of incidents as per Incident Management Standards
- Ensure proper documentation, analysis, and preventive measures
D. SCADA & Technical Monitoring
- Coordinate real-time SCADA monitoring and fault analysis
- Support troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues across sites
E. Team & Stakeholder Coordination
- Act as central coordination point between HO, site teams, engineering, contracts, and clients
- Conduct regular review meetings with site teams
- Support team alignment and issue resolution
F. Cost Optimization
- Identify opportunities for O&M cost reduction
- Develop and onboard reliable local vendors for spares and services
G. Issue Tracking & Resolution
- Maintain and track plant-related issues
- Liaise with internal teams and customers for timely resolution
H. Performance Analytics
- Analyze plant performance against design parameters (PV system benchmarks)
- Generate insights and reports to improve efficiency and reliability
4. Qualifications & Experience
- Education: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering / ENTC
- Experience:
- 5–7 years of total experience
- Minimum 5 years in Solar O&M
- Experience in 33 kV substations and transmission lines, including troubleshooting, is preferred
5. Working Conditions
- Based at Head Office, Pune
- Requires occasional travel to multiple project sites
