About the Role
Our client, a leading technology company in the Insurance & Financial Services domain, is seeking a seasoned technology leader who thrives in a balanced role 50% hands-on and 50% team leadership. This is not a pure management role; strong technical grounding and the ability to lead by example are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on technical leadership in developing and implementing software products for the Insurance and Financial markets.
- Inspire, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team while fostering individual development.
- Drive delivery of complex product and application engineering projects with measurable business outcomes.
- Partner with product and business leaders to define strategies, technology roadmaps, and scalable solutions.
- Ensure alignment of IT solutions with the company's strategic architecture.
- Manage relationships with senior stakeholders, peers, and business line leaders for positive client engagement.
- Oversee vendor solutions, ensuring quality and timely deliverables.
- Build and scale teams while leading organizational change in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications & Experience
- 1416 years of total experience in product and/or software development.
- 5+ years of hands-on expertise in .NET, SQL, C#, Azure, Angular/React (coding not expected, but strong technical leadership is required).
- 10+ years of progressive experience in software/product development.
- 58 years of proven success in leading technology teams and delivering large-scale, impactful projects.
- At least 3 years of experience with cloud-based data technologies.
- Prior experience in BFSI / Insurance (Property & Casualty preferred) or other large-scale financial-services platforms.
- Strong exposure to product-based companies delivering scalable enterprise solutions.
Technical Expertise:
Experience developing or leading teams with technologies such as:
- Microsoft Stack (.NET, SQL, Azure, C#)
- Angular/React, Java, PostgreSQL
- SaaS, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Anthos
