- Owns multiple scrum team level and domain level goals. May be a Single Threaded Owner (STO) over one domain and its goals. Responsible for goals in an area where the strategy may not yet be defined
- Develops policies, practices and mechanisms that enhance software development operations across all scrum teams. Has input into overall allocation of resourcing and domain budget
- Makes decisions for all components within their group and influences technical decision- making at the management and LT level
- Manages multiple scrum teams, including professional ICs, typically engineers and managers
- Manages multiple projects through direct reports and may directly manage individual software development projects. Ensures project delivery through supervision of costs, methods, and staffing
- Partners with multiple NiaB partners to ensure solutions for an entire domain (or sub-domain) are delivered through their group. Responsible for partnering with Domain STO to set technical objectives
- Leads the effort in resolving highly complex or unique technical situations that impact business success or addresses future concepts, products, or technologies
- Creates the roadmap for multiple scrum teams. Responsible for turning a high-level operational strategy into a well-defined resourcing plan
- Demonstrates perseverance in pursuing difficult, complex, or ambiguous goals or problems, applying advanced analytical thought and judgment.

- General familiarity with one or more tech languages, frameworks, architectures which may include mobile, front-end, back-end, full-stack development, test frameworks and models, APIs, managed services, etc., providing the ability to lead design along with technical IC leaders

- Exhibit leadership and management skills to design, develop and deliver high impact initiatives for PayPal India and emerging markets.
- Responsible for end-end development life cycle of web and mobile products and features.
- Manage the daily activities of the engineering team working on Agile scrum model.
- Demonstrate high degree of people focus and be a team player who can collaborate effectively across various teams within PayPal with integrity and commitment.
- Be highly customer centric and bat towards delivering customer delight through the. products and features.
- Act as a bridge between product and technology teams and marry business needs with technology solves.
- Demonstrate Team and Stakeholder management skills towards meeting project timelines and delivery commitments.
- Work closely with our integration teams and merchant partners to arrive at best-in-class payments experiences for our merchants.
- Actively work towards developing products that meet high standards of convenience, security, performance and reliability for our consumers and merchants.
- Work closely with the solutions architect, engineering leaders and the engineering team to deliver solutions for the customers.
- Have strong business and technical vision and the ability to communicate this vision to multiple audiences. Sense evolving business trends and translate them into needs into technology solves.
- Represent the company in external industry and academic forums
What do you need to bring
- BSCS plus 16+ years / MSCS plus 14 years of experience in software design, development and architecture
- Demonstrated experience with building large-scale web and mobile based software
- Solid understanding of Web platforms, scripting technologies with keen focus on ease of use, security and performance.
- Strong Object-oriented programming skills and expertise in one of Java/J2EE or C++.
- Working experience with databases such as MSSQL/ Oracle etc.
- Knowledge of mobile programming in Android/iOS is a plus.
- Experience and exposure to one or few of the following: Python or Scala or NoSQL.
